Scott Manning SPHR, FASPR is a self-described “hybrid” who has 25+ years’ experience in both Human Resources and Physician Recruiting. He currently holds the position of Director of Human Resources and Provider Recruiting for District Medical Group (DMG). DMG is one of the largest physician groups in Phoenix, Arizona.
His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Personnel Management from Arizona State University (ASU). He has achieved lifetime certification as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) thru the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Scott completed his certification as a Fellow of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (FASPR) in the inaugural class of 2010.
Scott has been elected to multiple leadership roles relating to both his areas of expertise. He has been elected to multiple terms on the Board of Directors of two Phoenix based SHRM Chapters and the SHRM Az. State Council. This was highlighted by two terms as President of the East Valley Human Resources Association. He is a charter member of ASPR (1990-Present) and has been a member of the ASPR Board of Directors serving terms as Treasurer, President Elect and President.
Scott has been a guest speaker at national/regional professional conferences on numerous HR/Physician Recruiting topics. Previous presentations have focused on Employment Law, HR skills for Physician Recruiters, Contract Negotiation, Best Practices for Physician Recruitment among others. He previously served as an instructor for HR curriculum in both a traditional classroom and exam preparation setting.
